Dhurandhar box office collection day 5: Aditya Dhar’s spy thriller Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, has picked up on Tuesday a day after witnessing a major dip on its first Monday. The earnings went up by 15% on Tuesday, allowing the film to cross the Rs 150 crore milestone at the domestic box office. It may soon become Ranveer’s highest grosser in six years.
On Tuesday (day 5), Dhurandhar earned Rs 26.50 crore at the domestic box office, up from Monday’s (day 4) Rs 23.25 crore. Monday’s figure reflected a sharp 46 percent drop from Sunday’s (day 3) collection of Rs 43 crore. Sunday, however, had marked a notable 34 percent rise from Saturday’s (day 2) earnings of Rs 32 crore, which itself was a respectable 14 percent increase over the film’s opening-day collection of Rs 28 crore on Friday.
As per trade tracker Sacnilk, the box office collection of Dhurandhar in India after five days stands at Rs 152.75 crore. With that figure, it not only hit the Rs 150 crore milestone just two days after surpassing the Rs 100 crore one, but also edged past Ranveer Singh’s 2019 hit, Zoya Akhtar’s coming-of-age musical Gully Boy, which earned Rs 139.63 crore in its lifetime at the domestic box office.
Irrespective of how much more Dhurandhar earns today, it’s sure to also surpass Ranveer’s last solo lead release, Karan Johar’s family comedy Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, which earned Rs 153.55 crore in its lifetime at the domestic box office. Once it does that, it’ll emerge as Ranveer’s highest grosser in six years, leaving behind Rs 100 crore grossers like Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Gully Boy, and Kabir Khan’s period sports drama 83 (Rs 107.31 crore).
Dhurandhar, thus, will today emerge as Ranveer’s highest grosser post-pandemic. Pre-pandemic, his last blockbuster was Rohit Shetty’s 2018 cop comedy Simmba, which earned Rs 295 crore at the domestic box office during its lifetime. Aditya Dhar’s new film is yet to edge past the lifetime domestic earnings of his last directorial, military drama Uri: The Surgical Strike. The Vicky Kaushal-starrer earned Rs 244.14 crore back in 2019.
Dhurandhar has couple of days to enjoy a solo playing field before Anukalp Goswami’s romantic comedy Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, starring Kapil Sharma, releases in cinemas this Friday. It’ll also face major competition from the Hollywood giant, James Cameron’s epic fantasy Avatar: Fire and Ash, starting next Friday on December 19. A week later, two new Hindi releases are likely to threaten Dhurandhar’s box office supremacy — Sriram Raghavan’s period military drama Ikkis, starring Agastya Nanda, and Sameer Vidhwans’ romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri.

Co-produced by Aditya Dhar and Jio Studios, Dhurandhar also stars Akshaye Khanna, Arjum Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun. Its second part is slated to release in cinemas on March 19, 2026 on the occasion of Eid.
