Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 7: Ranveer Singh starrer earns Rs 207 cr.

Dhurandhar Box Office collection update: The makers of Dhurandhar have to be revelling in joy after seeing the film’s performance at the theatres. Just a week in, the Aditya Dhar directorial has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark, and now the director is getting close to matching his debut film, Uri, which made Rs 244 crore. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Dhurandhar has minted Rs 207 crore in India in seven days.

The proverbial benchmark of Rs 200 crore does set the film apart from many of its contemporaries. For example, Dhurandhar is already the second-highest-grossing film in Sanjay Dutt’s career, the first being KGF Chapter 2 (Rs 435 cr). Even after considering his antagonist roles opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Ra.One (Rs 116 cr) and Om Shanti Om (Rs 78 cr), Arjun Rampal has never had a film cross the Rs 200 crore mark in net collection. However, Akshaye Khanna had the Laxman Utekar directorial Chhaava this year, which broke all records and earned over Rs 600 crore net.

For Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar is currently his third-highest grosser after Padmaavat and Simmba. The second spot is occupied by the Rohit Shetty directorial Simmba, which earned Rs 240 crore. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat holds the top spot, with its India net collection going past Rs 302 crore.

The occupancy rates for Dhurandhar averaged out at 39.53%, with the morning and afternoon shows bringing in rates of 18.62% and 34.70%. The evening and night shows achieved rates of 44.95% and 59.83%. If Dhurandhar is able to maintain these high occupancy rates and the daily collection, the film is in a better position to retain most of its shows going through the second week. For now, it seems that the film is moving quickly towards a very lucrative weekend. 

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the cast of Dhurandhar includes Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and R Madhavan.
