Farah Khan, who is known for directing films like Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om, has been in the news lately for her fun vlogs. The filmmaker–choreographer has an active presence on social media, but she has always kept her private life away from the public eye, especially her marriage to filmmaker Shirish Kunder. However, on the occasion of their 21st wedding anniversary, she shared unseen montages from her wedding to Shirish. One of the photos even shows Shah Rukh Khan in the frame.
The video montage begins with an old photo of Farah and Shirish in the kids’ room, standing next to a crib. This is followed by the couple posing together. The next photo shows the couple taking the pheras on their wedding day, while Shah Rukh Khan and veteran actor Himani Shivpuri are seen standing in the corner. It is widely known that Shah Rukh performed the ritual of kanyadaan at her wedding with Shirish. Other photos show Farah’s cute family moments with her husband and their triplets.
She captioned the post, “21yrs ago sm1 ( who had not bn invited to our wedding) passed a bitchy comment that “ i ll attend her next one”..sorry pal this one s going ok till now. Happy anniversary @shirishkunder .. we may not hold hands in public ( for that ul have to come out with me😜) but its u who holds our family together .. n i❤️u.. have i embarrassed you enough??”
Many celebrities wished Farah Khan on her special day. Anil Kapoor wrote, “Happy anniversary Farah and Shirish ❤️❤️❤️👏👏.” Zoya Akhtar, Diana Penty and Soha Ali Khan also wished the filmmaker–choreographer.

Earlier, a video of Shah Rukh Khan performing kanyadaan at Farah’s wedding had gone viral. The clip showed a pandit guiding Shah Rukh as he performed the ritual. He later hugs Farah and kisses her on her cheek.
Shirish Kunder, who was an editor on Farah Khan’s films, also tried his hand at directing and made films like Jaan-E-Mann (2006) and Joker (2012). However, they didn’t work. In an old interaction, Farah admitted that though she earns more than her husband, this factor never comes in between their marriage. “We’ve survived 12 years of extreme failures and extreme successes. So, I give him a lot of credit because he has to bear the brunt of being married to me,” said Farah in a 2016 interview. “That Abhimaan factor never comes in,” she added, referring to Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s 1973 seminal romance Abhimaan, in which Amitabh Bachchan’s character gets envious of his wife, played by Jaya Bachchan, after the latter becomes a more popular singer than him.
“These feminists talk a lot. But we truly are equals. I never feel, ‘Oh, I’m earning more, but my husband is not.’ No! Why? We’re equal partners,” Farah added in the Zee Cafe interview.
