After the grand Ambani wedding last year, another ceremony that grabbed headlines was the lavish union of Netra Mantena and Vamsi Gadiraju, attended by Bollywood stars like Ranveer Singh and Karan Johar. Celebrities performing at big weddings is now common, but 2025 also saw a very different kind of wedding buzz—cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal’s wedding being called off just days before the pheras. Now, Ashneer Grover, along with actors Rajesh Yadav and Sanyam Sharma, has taken a hilarious dig at all of this—big fat weddings, outrageous demands, celebrity appearances, the Khans, and even the Palash–Mandhana situation in a new comedy sketch.
The trio posted a spoof video in which Sanyam plays an over-the-top father of the bride. “I have two daughters, and my second one is getting married for the third time,” he announced dramatically. “Please arrange a wedding that makes us famous everywhere.”
When Rajesh Yadav asked for the budget, Sanyam replied confidently, “Rs 1000 crore.” Ashneer instantly interrupted: “Don’t we have another meeting scheduled?”
Realising he must up the stakes, Sanyam quickly corrected himself: “Umm… okay, make it Rs 2000 crore.”
To which Ashneer replied, “Since you’ve come through a reference, we’ll do it.”
The absurd demands then begin. For the venue, Ashneer and Rajesh suggested “Udaipur.” Rajesh hilariously added, “Oyo?” Sanyam shot back, “Will Ritesh come to hand over the keys himself?” Ashneer nodded, “Of course.”
Next, Sanyam said, “My daughter likes gire hue log.”
Ashneer immediately instructed, “Show him the list of Bollywood celebs.” Rajesh added, “You can pick anyone gira hua from here.”
They then take a playful dig at the Khans. “The groom’s height is a bit short, so I need superstars like that only,” Sanyam said. Rajesh responded, “We have the Khans list too. We don’t do body shaming but… you get it.”
Karan Johar, they said, will perform all the rituals.

Sanyam then demanded two singers who are not on good terms. Rajesh instantly responded, “Badshah and Honey Singh.”
The trio continued, mocking extravagance further—Sanyam wants Christopher Nolan to shoot the wedding. Ashneer added, “Also call Mouli (SS Rajamouli) from the South. He’ll add an Indian touch.”
They agree on a rotating stage for pheras, a French pandit, and even Orry’s presence.

But when Sanyam asked for a choreographer, both Rajesh and Ashneer refused immediately. “We don’t provide choreographers,” Rajesh said. “It’s not allowed. They break weddings and give us huge losses.”
Sanyam then made a batting gesture—an obvious nod to the Palash Muchhal–Smriti Mandhana wedding fiasco—and the duo knowingly agreed.
The spoof received mixed reactions. Some praised the creators, calling the content “epic,” while others felt they crossed a line.
Comments ranged from “Had me raho bhai,” to “That choreographer line was a low blow lol,” and “Ashneer bhai, kya majboori thi?”
